What will you need to consider

How much will I be able to borrow?

The first step is for us to talk through your financial situation. We will need to discuss your status, employment, income and outgoings so that I am able to determine how much you may be able to borrow.

How much will I need to use as a deposit?

We will talk about your deposit. How much is it and where is it coming from (savings, family, a gift etc). The size of your deposit can alter the mortgage deal you would qualify for.

Fixed, Tracker or Variable - which is best for me?

I will talk in detail about the various different types of mortgages which banks and building societies may have available and we will decide which is best for you - Fixed, Tracker or Variable.

Interest rate is not the only considering factor

When deciding on a mortgage deal the rate of interest is not the only factor to consider. I will guide you through the fees you could expect, any additional costs, your mortgage term and the different types available.

What fees will be involved in my mortgage?

Mortgage deals sometimes come with fees. These will vary from lender to lender. It is also important to know that a mortgage deal may have no fees at all. Some lenders may even provide you with a cash-back sum.

How much will I have to pay for your mortgage services?

Many mortgage brokers will charge a fee to arrange a mortgage. I will NOT charge any fee for my service.

My background

After graduating from University, I trained to become a Homelessness & Housing Legal Adviser within the Charity sector. During my time there, I advised countless people on impending repossessions and potential homelessness. In many cases these clients had been poorly advised by lenders and brokers. It was a hugely rewarding role and left me ready for a new challenge.

My experience

I trained as a Mortgage Adviser because I knew it leant towards my skills both in finance and supporting people. I have spent the past 10 years working for a large corporate mortgage firm, then followed by a hugely successful independent mortgage broker. During this time, I am grateful to have gained a huge amount of knowledge and experience within this sector. However, working independently was always my goal and now I feel very privileged to provide my own clients with expert mortgage and protection advice.

Currently, I am based in Nottingham but am fully able to provide advice remotely, no matter where you are.
